Q170702 ACC97: Invalid Page Fault Repairing DB After Compact Attempt

Symptoms

When trying to compact your database whilst in the break mode of a module you get a message that the database is being used by another person/program. When trying to repair the database you get ‘invalid page fault’ and then Access crashes.

Resolution

Close any objects before trying to compact the database. You can now compact and repair the database problem free.
