Q208488 ACC2000: How to Troubleshoot Invalid Page Faults in Microsoft Access 2000.

There generally are two causes for an invalid page fault in Windows 95/98:

> Unexpected event in Windows, normally this is due to an improper memory address: An application can read or write to a certain memory location that has not been allocated to it which means it will overwrite and possibly corrupt other code in that location.

• Invalid parameters have been passed between an application and Windows; this can cause invalid instructions to be executed and can result in page faults. This is normally due to an application’s internal code which incorrectly passes certain data which is not able to be interpreted by a Windows application.

You can also investigate the following application related problems:

• Bug or Virus in Access
• Damaged, corrupt or fragmented database
• Invalid registry settings
• Mismatched DLLs

Investigating the following problems related to your system could also help you to solve the issue:

• Memory conflict
• Temporary folder issue
• Video driver or settings issue
• Printer driver or settings issue
• Virtual memory settings issue
• File-system settings issue
• Hard-disk fragmentation or problems.
